Chris is an IT/IS management professional with over a decade of experience in IT, IS, Network Engineering, and Telecommunications integration. Chris specializes in web server deployment and information management. This includes CMS, CRM, and dynamic content deployment. Chris also manages a full service Video Head End with over 200 digital TV channels. Chris also has five years of project management, knowledge management, and engineering design experience. He specializes in both the Agile and Scrum project management methodology. He also has a background in computer forensics and information security including federal or state compliance audits (such as SOX).

Help Get the Livestrong Foundation A Million Dollars

Comedian and Game Show Host Drew Carey has announced that if he gets over a million Twitter followers for his site (http://twitter.com/DrewFromTV/) he will donate a million US dollars to the LiveStrong Foundation. In return Drew Olanoff, cancer-fighter and blogger, will give Carey his Twitter username of “@drew”. Olanoff has been auctioning off that account to the highest bidder in hopes of raising funds for LiveStrong. He did not expect Carey to come to the plate, but that is just what Carey did when he initially offered $10,000 for the account. That offer has escalated (with the backing of his employer CBS) to a cool million recently. This is a huge chance for you to help out a worthy cause at no cost to yourself. LiveStrong was founded by professional cyclist (and Cancer survivor) Lance Armstrong as a non-profit organization whose primary goal is to educate the public on preventing cancer, as well as, supporting the medical and emotional needs of those with the disease. Log into Twitter and add “@DrewFromTV”. Let’s help this great organization continue to do great things.

DF.com on YouTube

As promised, you will now find in our newly added Video section a group of videos that feeds from our “Favorites” list from YouTube.com (found on the site here). We’ll be adding more videos over time, but there are some of our top perennial favorites posted already to get things going. Of course, you’re always welcome to drop us a line via comments on this post to let us know what videos you’d like to see included. We just might dig what you’re cooking and post it. Who knows. We just might.

To make room on the main menu bar I changed the Visual Artwork section to the smaller length Artwork section. Content remains the same though I did delete some duplicate Graphic Art that I found.

You’ll also find in the right hand side menu some quick picks of the top external DF.com sites from around web the under “Beyond DF.com – Top Picks” heading. The complete list of external sites can be found in the Beyond DF.com section.

Our expansion around the web is complete at this point (at least for the time being). We’re far from done though… we’ve got a few more tricks up our sleeves that we’ll be showing off over the next few weeks. Stay tuned!

DF.com On Twitter

Our domination of social networks continues to expand. We have recently joined Twitter and you can now follow df.com at: http://twitter.com/djdigitalflood. Just like our MySpace and Facebook accounts; we feed all df.com updates to you so you can follow us at your leisure through your social network profiles. I also have a LinkedIn account where you’re welcome to add me. Just be sure in the invite to note you found me through digitalflood.com. We’ll be working on a YouTube account next. If there’s a social network you’d like to see us on let me know and we’ll consider it as an option in the near future.

Mark used to play in one of my all time favorite bands Karma Blind with Mike Hickey and Wayne Charleston. They were incredible. He’s still playing gigs all over the place and he was on CNBC’s “The Big Idea: Donny Duetsch”. He’s also got a DVD out. Good stuff. Check it out.

DF.com Returns to MySpace

All of three years ago we had a digitalflood Pirate Radio profile in the MySpace.com Music section. We had over 14,000 friends. We were routinely the number one band by views within a 20 mile radius of Warwick, NY. We had some 500 views per day of our profile. In short, we ran the joint.

The problem was MySpace was in its Golden era and unable to deal with all the traffic on the site. As such, they began hunting down the highest viewed pages that weren’t on a major label and weren’t part of MySpace Tom’s clique. With that, we were targeted, terminated, and told we violated copyright law.

Well, the gold rush is over and so are the witch hunts on MySpace. With that we have launched a brand new profile on MySpace Music and we are once again ready to run the joint. Let’s do this thing.
